Bengal Ambuja

Bengal Ambuja housing development ltd. with collaboration with the West Bengal Housing Board organized (four times) outdoor/environmental sculpture workshop projects in their multi storage building campus in Ajay Nagar, Eastern Bypass, Kolkata from 1997 to 2001. They invited students from the Sculpture department, Kala Bhavana, Visva-Bharati. These projects were coordinated by our teacher sculptor Sushen Ghosh. At that time I was a student of Kala Bhavana. Their subject was “Flying Bird”. Students had done a total of 32 sculptures on that campus using building materials like cement concrete, rod, bricks, welded iron sheet etc. I had done four monumental sculpture in that four times project which became a great experience in my life and helped me learn many things about construction regarding sculpture from engineers & architects in that campus.
